… and you’re an internet marketer then you need to check this one out. This had my attention the second I saw the URL as it was passed along to me from my boss over IM.

1st Hump Day of the New Year and Google’s Making Moves
January 6th, 2010 — Daily Links, Featured, Google
After having Christmas and New Years both fall on a Friday in 2009, today marks the first hump day of the New Year, as well as the first Wednesday of the first full work week in my last two. Inevitably making this week seem like the longest work week on record in recent memory.
Not only is this week dreadfully hated by many for being the first fully in a while, it’s also going unusually slow from what I can remember. This is usually the busiest time of the year when it comes to the Internet and there really just doesn’t seem to be that much going on in the IM sector. I guess since I work in the e-commerce niche, a lot has slowed down since the Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas rush to my sites.

Yuck…
The first day back from a nice holiday break is never really that fun. Getting back into your morning and office routine’s after waking up feeling nice and plump from a weekend full of good food and drink. (By the way I am definitely hitting the gym after work tonight for a good long workout this evening.)
I tried to distance myself from everything search over the holiday weekend and managed to barely even open my laptop. Mainly in part to a few holiday dinners and the new Nintendo Wii my girlfriends parents bought me. I am obsessed with MarioKart and will dominate anyone who wants to challenge me. (send me your Wii user # and lets do this)

This week has been one of the most frustrating weeks of work in a long time. Our owners decided to sell off one of the e-commerce sites we operate and it actually happened to be our original site. So all email servers for all the newer stores were basically connected to each other with your original site’s email addy being the main email account. Not sure if that makes much sense, but lets just say, all email correspondence has in a sense, been f*cked since last Thursday evening when the official swap to the new owners took place.
SEO Knowledge from Today

So Google was acting all whack today and displaying some blatant spammers when I was performing some search queries this morning. I wish I could divulge exactly what it was, but I won’t here, but if you stroll on over to my Twitter page, you can most certainly find out.
After that early morning mess, there was some stuff breaking on Twitter about Google releasing a ‘new Search-Based Keyword Tool’. So I went and checked it out, and lo and behold it was the same keyword tool they released back in April I believe. I think it was the fact that Google finally added a link on the old keyword tool with the following ‘new’ icon that made everyone go crazy about it and tweet away.
